Replacing light fitting, and socket
10Verified ReviewSteve arrived on time and carried out the work efficiently and to a high standard. I was consulted as to the depth of the pendant light and was pleased with the result. Steve explained that the additional cable was concealed so that it could be lengthened if we wanted to adjust the depth of the fitting in the future. Steve also replaced a single socket with a matching double, and fixed some exposed cable in the process. I have no hesitation in recommending Steve, as he was professional in his work, had a friendly manner, and charged a reasonable price for the job.

He had often visited at short notice when we’ve had an emergency, sometimes even on weekends. He’s a lovely, competent electrician to have around. He takes pride in his work and popped back to help us with a minor issue related to our spotlights this week some time after completing the original job. We wouldn’t use anyone else!

Welcome to Wilkins Electrical Solutions. Established for 5 years, I am a sole trader professional electrician based in Brentwood, although I also cover the surrounding areas including Essex & London. I provide a wide range of electrical services from rewires to installations covering all aspects of domestic electrics including:

All work is carried out in Brentwood & the surrounding areas with the customers needs in mind, from start to finish, I always ensure that all of my work is carried out with the upmost professionalism and to the highest standards as I pride myself on keeping my customers happy and delivering their requirements.
I began my career as an electrical mechanical engineer in 1999 working within the ophthalmic, medical and photographic industry.
After ten years of repairing, installing, decommissioning and servicing the equipment within these industries I decided I wanted to become an electrician.
Once I had attained all of my required qualifications to become an electrician I started working on various projects and construction sites throughout the London area such as re-wiring Harrods, testing circuits at Heathrow airport terminal 2b, installing circuits in kitchens at the Olympic Park and Village in Stratford, 2nd fixing student apartments at Kings College London, installing emergency lighting for both Queens Hospital in Romford and the Ministry of Justice on Petty France Road in London, through to carrying out domestic solar PV installations and a number of house re-wires including consumer unit upgrades which are all fully tested and certified through ELECSA who notify building control of the works carried out when necessary.
My qualifications and accreditations are listed below -
EAL NVQ level 3 (electrical & electronic servicing).
C&G 2330 levels 2 & 3 in electro technology - installation of buildings & structures.
C&G 2393 level 3 in building regs. for electrical installations in dwellings.
C&G 2377 level 3 for the inspection & testing of electrical equipment.
C&G 2382 level 3 in the requirements for electrical installations (17th edition).
NICEIC Part P approved contractor. Registration # EPPS57547.
