  Scope of job fine, builders local with additional experience to tackle heating/plumbing. Took a while to get a viewing for a provisional quote, provided specific information to the builder and it took over a week for them to say the job was not for him. Frustrated and disappointed that 1) this could have been done earlier to minimise time wastage and 2) the comms were distinctly lacking...  company office dictates the work carried out - appeared disconnected. a Shame

  Bob and his workers arrived on time everyday and worked quickly, adapting as the job progressed as things never go to plan in an old house. He was finished in the time specified and to the agreed budget.

  Bob (and George) did all the works listed to an incredibly high standard. Nothing was too much trouble. They were extremely courteous and helpful and it was a pleasure to do business with them. I look forward to working with them again.

  Arrived over 20 mins late for my quote with no apology. I had to ring to find out where he was, person on the other end of phone had no idea of his whereabouts. I then emailed 5 days later asking where the quote was, was told it’ll be in the next couple of days. A further week on I’m still awaiting the quote. Won’t be using if it ever arrives.

  Very pleased with the work that Bob (ably supported by Lee and John) did for us to remove our kitchen/dining wall and the existing kitchen units, move the plumbing and replace the supporting beam. Bob is very experienced and knowledgeable and was able to cover all aspects of the trade. He showed great flexibility to accommodate our extension of the scope of the work. We found him to be very professional, completing all the work to a high standard, within budget and on time. No hesitation in recommending him.

• Insulating floor of garage Knocking down of internal wall

  Bob Shearer and his workmen did an excellent job for us on two occasions. The first job was insulating the garage floor. The second job, was knocking through an internal wall . The workmanship of both jobs was of a very high standard. The workmen were very professional and the finished results of both jobs were outstanding. At all times, the men were polite, punctual, reliable and very hard working. They also cleaned up and took away their rubbish. I can't recommend them highly enough. We already have another job lined up for them! Really pleased! Thank you Bob and his work force!
