• New Roof construction and tiles

  The work has been completed, however, to a sub poor standard, the carpentry joinery work is poor, constructed the wrong pitch degree fall for the type of tiles fitted e.G. The pitch degree built is less than 15 degrees the required pitch degrees is 17.5. Consequently, the roof is litter with water leaks into the garage. Instead of trying to put it right, they suggested that I pay them £800 to remedy their sub standard where their excuse is a blame culture e.G. Its the electrician that disrupted the roof. There are many rafters are just resting on the timber template with no support bracket

• Refitting gable flashings and replacing cement fillet

  Excellent in all respects. I was concerned about the condition of my gable flashings and through I I I I was contacted by Caretaker and Sons immediately I had posted the job on Checkatrade. They came within 24 hours to view the job and provided a quote and the following day came and carried out the job in its entirety. I met father, son and 2 of their team and all were very polite and pleasant and good communicators. The work was very carefully and neatly executed and there was no mess at any stage. I shall approach them again for similar or related work if the need arises.

• Repoint gable end and fit gable cover

  I phoned Brian to request quote to repoint our gable end. He came the next day and quoted. His team came the following day to complete the work all done, left everything clean and tidy. Brian phoned to check we were happy with the job. We have used Caretaker and sons before and will do again.

• Roof replacement

  We had a 100 year old, 3 sided pitched, slate roof with many problems that needed replacing and chimney repairing. We had several quotes including one from caretaker and sons, who came out viewed the roof and surveyor’s notes and talked extensively with us about what we wanted etc. We then received the quote which wasn’t the cheapest we’d had but was still very reasonable. Once agreed the work was carried out it was within a few days, rather than waiting weeks or months for it to be started like other companies had quoted. The work was done quickly, tidily and respectfully to our neighbors.

• Roofing Job

  Wonderful job. Hard working team were none stop all day, long day, and left the site spotless afterwards. Corrected all the faults that they discovered with the damaged roof and it looks like new now. They arranged all of the scaffolding etc so the process went smoothly with no stress.

• Hot tub base completed

  I needed a base for a new hot tub. Posted the job on Checkatrade and Brian Scott from Caretaker and Sons promptly responded. Visited a few days later and provided a quote for a slabbed area for the hot tub installation. Job was then completed a few days later. The finished job looks great and the team worked hard and were very professional. However, as the ground was being prepared I was concerned that the base would not be strong enough for a hot tub. I was reassured it would be as they have been doing this type of work for over 20 years. Hot tub is due in a weeks time so time will tell!
