  When the boiler broke, I messaged Mark and he came by the next day to put some temporary fixes in. Within a week, the new boiler was installed and an old water tank taken away, all the pipework, brickwork etc. Tidied, he sorted out a new thermostat and a couple of other little things he found along the way! Great job - everything runs and looks great.

  I was very pleased with the work done. Knowledgable and able to understand and diagnose my problem. Quoted a competitive price. Came at time arranged for quote and for work. Previously used for annual service and recommended by family member who has used him on their house and previous flat. Tank and old piping all taken away. All work checked before he left. Very polite and he removed his shoes before walking in house.

  Leak discovered Saturday evening, fortunately before any serious damage was caused. Called Mark Carter (Carters Gas Ltd) on Saturday evening. He offered to come within the hour, but I settled for Sunday morning. Mark arrived early Sunday morning and completed the necessary modifications and repairs which were in a very difficult and cramped location. His service and manner was first class as was his work. Mark installed our new central heating system four years ago and has since serviced it every year. Mark is honest, pleasant, trustworthy and humorous. I would thoroughly recommend him.

• Repair a misfiring boiler

  I called Mark midday Tuesday and he turned up as promised at 6pm. Boiler dissected, cleaned and reassembled in one hour - working brilliantly and more quietly. No panic - no fuss- no mess and an extremely reasonable charge. A godsend. Unreservedly recommend.
