Thank you for clicking on our CheckaTrade listing.

Despite claims, genuine rising damp is almost impossible in London, because rising damp is from high groundwater in constant contact with a building. London doesn't have high groundwater.

The reason it is so commonly misdiagnosed is:

  1. vested interest from damp surveyors profiting through rising damp treatment,
  2. it can take a very long time identifying the genuine root cause of damp, sometimes many visit,
  3. applying slurry used to treat rising damp often hides dampness for sometime. However there is a downside....

the downside of treating leaks, penetrating damp or excess water vapour with slurry is the damp continues within the wall moving to other surfaces, possibly causing rot or mould. We saved owners between £2,000 and £30,000 each from misdiagnosed damp.

We are typically booked about two weeks in advance, so please contact us in advance.

Think about it; your house was not built with damp problems, it is the changes that have taken place since that cause damp problems.

So far this year I have traced and solved the root causes of over 1,000 damp, mould and rot problems, saved over £2Million of unnecessary and damaging damp proofing works.

When calling, please mention:
