I’ve been in this business for over 15 years. Replace a flat roof
I was targeted by a roofer who offered to charge £1650 to do some roofing work I had requested through the site. He turned up the next day to do the work but did not do any roofing work. Instead, he covered the roof with a coat of paint and pretended he had carried out repairs. He demanded cash once he had "finished the job" and started shouting with threatening behaviour when I said I would get someone to check his work. He eventually left and the roof will now cost more to repair because he left it in a mess.
Roofing install
I recently had the pleasure of working with Rapid Response Roofing and Building on a roofing project, and I am very pleased with the results. They provided excellent customer service, took the time to explain all my options to me, and completed the job in a timely manner. The quality of their work was top-notch and I highly recommend them for any roofing project.
Fixing a leak in my roof
NEVER use this Roofer (James). He had completely cheated us when trying to fix our roof. He provided us 2 options to resolve the issue, either £850 (for sealing the hole) or £2000 (for ripping the roof and retiling it). We went with the less hassle, cheaper option of £850 which had then been agreed at a paid £650 in cash . A day later and the leak had worsened. Rather than maturely sorting it out for a smaller fee, we had been shouted at and blamed for "choosing the cheaper option" whilst he had the audacity to ask for another £2000 to fix it.
Complete re-roof, felt battens, slates. Pvc guttering, fascias and soffits. Conservatory roof
The roofers turned up every day even on Saturdays for 2 weeks. I am happy with the slates. The dry verge is uneven. The black caps at the edge of the roof are uneven. The guttering at the back leaks through a join. Whilst they took 90% of the waste material away they left enough for me to have to pay for a skip to remove the remainder. James said he would pay for the skip but I haven't heard anything. I told him about the dry verge before he left and he didn't do anything. He left before knocking on and me giving an inspection. I don't want them back to rectify. I don't trust them.
