• Getting my motor home engine to start

  Diesal engine. I have the receipt for the last diesal I put in the vehicle , end of last November . Been able to The mechanics say there was petrol in the pipes . I and my son maintain we’ve only put diesel in . They insisted to drain the fuel , taking three hours at a total cost of £270 . This is added to the bill totalling £ 834.00. The Jerry can was left in the cabin of the van that had only been used for diesal for which I have the receipt . They found no difference which I expected !!!the immobiliser had to be removed to allow the fuel through . Fine They’re lying re the petrol

• Headlight fitting and correction

  I’ve encountered an issue with the headlights in my car which require new connectors, so I went to two previous garages who flat out refused to help me (which as a woman I find it quite difficult going to garages). I checked Checkatrade and found A&S Motors, I rang and the guy on the phone was really helpful. I drove down they offered to have a look to see what the problem is, they didn’t have the part needed but ordered it and it sorted the next day (within 24 hours). They found a cheaper solution which saves me buying new headlights! Will definitely be back again!

• Drain Engine oil to correct level

  Whilst visiting the area I had an issue with my motorhome. I called early morning and was offered an appointment straight away before they started their daily work load. In less than an hour I was back on the road. Great service and treatment by all the staff could not thank them all enough.

• Supply and fit rear main oil seal on car

  After service and MOT by dealer their health check advised an oil leak from the main oil seal needed to be replaced. To seal undertake this work, the quote was £2019.62p. After research, and being a Checkatrade garage, A&S Motors was contacted and undertook this repair costing £498.36 incl VAT with manufacturers approved parts. A quarter of the price quoted by dealer! Another mechanical fault was identified at the same time and repaired at a cost of parts only. What would dealer have quoted for this extra work? 100% recommend this garage.
