• Replace old flat roof with new GRP fiberglass roof

  Alan and his team did a fantastic job replacing a 20 year old fiberglass roof with a new one. Communication was great and the work was done in a timely manner. No mess was left on site and definitely went the extra mile to ensure we were happy. Fast forward to 2024, when we had some extremely strong winds, some of the new ridge tiles came off. A quick call to Alan and he was round to secure the roof and make it water tight. A few days later he and his team repaired the roof without any quibble. This is a testament to his guarantees and warranties for the work.

• Lead Capping on Coping Stones

  Having seen so many positive reviews of A. Hughes Roofing, we never anticipated the problems we now have. The lead capping on coping stones done at our property on 24 August this year does not comply with industry standards (confirmed by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors), which require the lead to be applied in sections no more than 1.5 metres in length to allow for thermal movement and prevent cracking and buckling of the lead. Although Mr Hughes has offered to remove the lead, he has so far ignored our requests for the refund of the £810 deposit paid.
