    The start date and duration of the work was agreed, and Mr Williams turned up promptly on the first and subsequent days. The job was carefully explained to me. It was carried out exactly as described and completed by lunch time on the 4th day. His invoice was presented a few days later and the amount charged was exactly as estimated. Communication with Mr Williams prior to the work and after completion was excellent. All-in-all a thorough job, handled in a professional way and to a very high standard. I would have no hesitation in recommending his firm to others.

    We are extremely happy with the work carried out by Max of Allwood Preservation. We had a damp proof course applied to the rear of our property. Max is extremely helpful, knowledgable and experienced and gives very good advice. He works very efficiently and arrived very much on time for job. Also, the work is reasonably priced.     Maxwell visited me today at my request to check on the damp problem in my wall. He was very honest and courteous and said that the damp was caused by a leaking gutter and did not require his services. He recommended that I have the gutter cleared of pine needles etc., and I was very grateful for his help and would recommend him.

Company info

We are a small family run business and have been trading since the 80s.

I have been in construction since 1969 having served an apprenticeship in bricklaying which I gained a distinction. I worked on many prestigious projects over the years, in the city and west end of London including the Victoria and Albert museum, and many more.

I came into the remedial side of the business in the early 80s,and have been busy treating Damp and Timber problems ever since. We have resisted growing into a large firm because we like the hands on touch that only a family business can offer.
