Littlehampton-based Arun Driveways, has scooped a top award at this year’s prestigious Brett Approved Installer Awards. The company picked up Gold in the category of Best Small Patio for its work creating a sympathetic courtyard in a property in the historic location of Petworth Park. They were presented with a heavy duty digital camera as part of their prize, to help capture future prize-winning projects! The Approved Installer Awards are organised annually by industry leading Brett Landscaping, to recognise the highest standards of professionalism in driveway and patio projects across the United Kingdom Frost, of Arun Driveways said: “We are very pleased to see our hard work for our customers recognised by the industry’s most forward-thinking landscaping company. Removed old concrete driveway and installed new block paving

I got 3 quotes for this work, George's was in the middle but I was impressed that along with the quote came a list (unsolicited) of numerous driveways his company had done in the local area, which meant we were able to view finished examples of his work before deciding. His team did a great job of laying our new driveway, and I would recommend them to anyone. The guys who did the work were extremely polite and tidy, and kept us informed throughout the project. My only criticism is that more care needs to be taken when preparing the ground; we had our broadband cable cut (twice!), a light at the end of the driveway smashed and some damage to a brick pillar and wall. All this was put right and some of it was due to third party contractors, rather than George's team, but it was annoying never-the-less.

In response to the customers comments. We are grateful for their input and high scoring we are a little bit saddened that they felt that they had to put on our report the details about the cable, light, wall and brick pier. In my defence I did bring it to the customers attention before starting that the brick pier was damaged and we repaired it for them at no cost. The wall was extremely old and had been built on the concrete original driveway which we cut around to minimise damage which was explained before starting. We did advise them that the wall should have been built on its own footings. There was slight damage as expected but we did repair it without cost. The NTL cable was sitting in the expansion joint of concrete it should be at least 300 deep not 3cm's it was repaired next day but but the customer wanted it to be diverted anyway so that was fate. With regards to the light being broken, the grab lorry did try to be careful but it was tight and we did reimburse that cost so the customer could purchase a new one. We are sorry if these things caused you any distress but some things are hard to avoid, others just happen, the important thing is that they were corrected instantly or as soon as possible. We would like to thank the customers for their custom they were both lovely people and it was a pleasure to work for them.
