• Repair of wood at the front of a shower tray

  The wood at the front of our shower tray looked terrible, damp and probably rotten. Gary has done a superb job repairing it. It was not a big job but because of the different treatments, he had to pop in about 5 times, which wasn't ideal for him. We are really pleased with the completed work and would highly recommend Ashling Decorators.

• Stripping back cedar garage door and staining and varnishing front door

  Research was undertaken by the decorator as to the best treatment of the cedar garage door. As a result all existing varnish was sanded off, and the garage door was sanded down to bare wood, it was then treated with two coats of osmo decking oil as recommended by the technical department of osmo. The door came up looking like new. Gary also sanded down the weather bar of our front door, stained it and rubbed down front door front and applied two coats of marine varnish. It looks great.

  I recently moved into a bungalow which had not been decorated for some years.I asked Steve Paige from Ashling to quote me for the work .He replied promptly and we agreed on the price quoted,He then introduced me to his partner Gary who carried out all the work.There was a lot of prep work needed and Gary was meticulous in all aspects of his work.He was punctual and polite and I was happy to leave him in the house while I was away.He was in my home for 3 weeks and did a brilliant job in all the rooms.He tidied up each day and treated my home with respect.Book this firm if you can -First Class!!

  A standard of excellence in the repainting of the outside of my house that I have not experienced before. From careful and precise preparation to a superb quality of finish. Steve and Gary are highly skilled in their trade, friendly, courteous and considerate of my house being my home. Always leaving it clean and tidy at the end of each working day. Steve and Gary are a team I can trust and am happy to leave working in my house whether I am there or away. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

• Bedroom repaper and redecorate

  This is the third time we have used Ashling and they have consistently performed excellently each time. They take their time preparing surfaces so the papering and painting can be first class. Each job has been done as if it were for themselves. The knowledge they have of the paints and papers is immense and their skills first class. We don't bother now to even look anywhere else - you couldn't get a better and cost effective solution anywhere else.
