    What can I say! The floor was put down in what seemed like no time by experts. One being Martin himself. It was perfect in everyway. Martin and Chris worked effortlessly together to lay a wooden floor and the result looks amazing. I can not thank Martin and Bailey Construction enough. They are brilliant.

    Martin has completed a full refurbishment of my bungalow. It is of high quality and nothing was ever too much trouble. Every time I have had dealings with Martin he has always been courteous and bends over backwards to make sure his customers are happy. All his employees are cheerful,chatty and hard workers. Dan especially as he fitted my kitchen and I love it! Martin is 100% a man of his word and whatever you request he gets it done. I would highly recommend him and his lads if you want a tip top job done! Because he made an excellent job inside I’m having him back to do outside. Thank you Martin

  • Bathroom renovation / knock through

    Martin and his other trades completed a new family bathroom knocking through a separate WC with the existing bathroom to create a hotel like family bathroom! There were multiple trades and multiple tasks - I showed Martin a pinterest picture and that’s what I got! A few snagging issues were resolved quickly and others will be resolved when further works with the rest of the house are completed in coming weeks; all of which is fine with me. Martin is always available to chat through the work and what’s coming up and happy for you to have as little / as much involvement in the project.

  • Significant steel work

    Martin and co carried out significant steel works at our home as part of a wider project; this included removal of the internal section of a GF chimney stack with 4 steels to create a walkway to the kitchen, 5m of steel across the back wall to create an opening for doors, and a 1.6m opening in the kitchen for a bifold window. They also removed another wall at right angles to the 5m steel. I was very apprehensive about the work as we stayed in the house throughout the project but I was put at ease with jokes and knowledge about the work ahead. I’d not hesitate to recommend them.

Welcome to Bailey Construction Services. My name is Martin Bailey and I specialize in all aspects of Brickwork, Block work, Re-pointing, Ground works, Hard Landscaping and general building works.


I have been in the building trade for over 27years now and I have gained my knowledge and experience for my trade by working on large developments both high end and basic housing sites. I have also worked for small developers doing one-off houses and extensions. I'm based in Southampton but will work throughout Hampshire. I pride myself on being punctual, tidy and polite and always producing a high quality of work. I'm very competitive with my prices and believe that no job is too big or small.
