  We went with Christchurch Carpentry and Build based on price, planned duration and because Gary was straightforward. The result is superb. A few issues we’ve had (with a big project you will get issues) have been down to pre-build phases and unforeseens. They have been dealt with calmly, rationally and collaboratively. The overall process has been smooth and Gary’s management of multiple streams of work and his communications have been excellent. We’ve required all trades (building, new roof and roof tiling, plumbing and heating, electrics, decorating and interior tiling) and are impressed.

• Fitting and supply of Kitchen

  Absolutely top bloke! Everything from the first contact was nice and easy, put me in touch with Howdens who came around a measured up and listened to what we wanted. The communication was excellent and when it came to fitting it all Gary and his team were faultless. Very tidy, professional and punctual. Pulled out all the stops to get it fitted to surprise the wife! Did the whole lot including the worktops so didn’t have to wait for another person to come around a finish bits off.

• Bespoke Bookshelf

  Approached Christchurch Carpentry and Build about building a bespoke bookshelf to go in our lounge. Great experience throughout getting the job planned and booked in. All work was done within one day, the team were tidy, polite, and professional. There was minimum disruption whilst they did the work and the outcome was exactly what we were looking for. Will definitely go back to them if we have any similar projects come up in the future and would highly recommend to others!

  Gary and his team were fantastic throughout the 6 month build. We were recommended Christchurch Carpentry and Build by a friend, but also had the job quoted by another 3 building firms as well. From the first meeting Gary was professional, knowledgeable and attentive to the details of the job. He provided us with a detailed cost breakdown that was fair and transparent. The entire project was delivered on time and on budget. Gary takes everything in his stride and has an amazing ability to think around problems and offer solutions. We’d highly recommend, best contractor we’ve used.

  Gary and the team fully managed our large project from start to finish. The craftmanship, attention to detail and care in their work was superb, not just from Gary's own team, but also from all the different trades he used on site - from brickies to electricians and plumbers. Their work was clean and tidy throughout. Most importantly however was Gary's communication. He answered the phone EVERY time and always got back to us quickly on any queries. This was absolutely invaluable and goes such a long way to relieving the stress of managing a large project like this. Highly recommend!
