    Alex repointed 1930s brickwork and replaced wall ties as necessary. He did an excellent job, and the appearance and condition of the brickwork has been vastly improved. He explained what he was doing and offered advice on other related matters. He was very considerate at all times and made an impressive effort to tidy up at the end of each day. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

    Always very friendly and willing to explain what he's doing, whilst providing a professional and efficient service. The work looks amazing and the area was cleaned at the end of each day. He was recommended by a friend and we'll definitely be keeping his contact details for any future work.

    This is the second time Alex has carried out work for us. He removed some bridging mortar from the cavity before installing a 1200 mm catnic lintel complete with lead damp tray and weep holes. This work was required to eliminate damp above our small side lounge window. He then reinstated the soldier course and left the site tidy. I am very pleased with the results, his workmanship, his knowledge on building work and his courteous manner. We would not hesitate to call him again and would thoroughly recommend him.

    We bought our bungalow last year and were told in the survey that two steel window lintels were corroded and might need attention. We delayed taking action fearful of what disruption might be involved to deal with the issue. Alex came today and explained that there was no reason to carry out any remedial work giving his reasons for that conclusion. At the same time he provided welcome advice on an unrelated damp issue which we had been struggling with. Whilst we had no reason to engage him in any work we were very impressed by his overall honest and unbiased attitude.
