  My rear garden raised brick and paved patio was in poor condition and needed re-building. David Rutland did the work which involved taking up and removing all the old paving slabs and substrate, building new walls, re-building the staircase in brick and surfacing throughout with natural stone slabs. A fence was also replaced. The work is excellent and the men were polite and helpful throughout the works which took 5 weeks. I used this company as they built an extensive new drive on the front of my sons house late last year and did an excellent job there too.

• Paving the back garden patio

  We highly recommend David Rutland and Co From the first moment , they were accurate& punctual. We waited couple of months, but then they started with the work exactly when they promised to. As work was going on, we requested 'little favours', and were never asked to pay extra for those. It was clear that they were there not to grab the money and finish the job ASAP. David and Alfie took pride in the job. We have never encountered this attitude with other people doing various jobs for us. The job that they completed was of a really high standard. WELL DONE! What a pleasure having such workers.

  Gary and his team have done an amazing job on our front driveway which included repairing walls, new brickwork, sandstone cobbled driveway and new brickwork. From start to finish, they went out of their way to communicate well and discuss different design options. The workmanship is excellent and I’m sure it will last many years. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

  Very nice people to deal with from start to finish. Friendly staff on site, easy to discuss the work with, and have a laugh too. Finished to a high standard, site cleared promptly and left clean and tidy at the end of the project. We would use this contractor again should the situation arise.

  Gary’s team did a great job replacing our drive and building a retaining wall. They did a good job which looks good and has addressed some former problems. We were given plenty of time to make decisions about materials with no pressure and advice when we asked for it. The team were friendly and professional and no trouble to have around. Final minor snags were quickly addressed to our satisfaction. Invoicing was split across the time frame of the project and came in within the estimate. I have no trouble in recommending them.
