  • A broken lock on an internal door.

    The lock on a closed internal door was broken so the door would not open. Simon responded to the emergency promptly and worked hard to solve the problem with minimum disruption, coming back the next day with spare parts to finish the job.

    The trades man John, was amazing. He was able to tell me how it will cost, he didn't take long to arrive.When Arrivaed he showed his I-D and introduced him self again so I was reassured. Lovely individual soul. John got the job done in literally minutes. Now I will always recommend John. I SLEPT LIKE A NEW BORN BABY.

  • Fixed a door that wouldn't shut

    Simon came at the time promised, equipped with the right tool to fix our door, which wouldn't shut by a simple push and which had a dodgy locking mechanism. He immediately identified the problem and was able to fix it, completely to our satisfaction, by turning the latch around. He also gave advice on the handle, the locking, the reason why the door no longer fitted correctly, the beading and hinges. I learnt quite a bit, and will definitely use his services again if anything else comes up that needs a good locksmith.

  • Realigned an aluminium door and changed the locking mechanism

    Simon came to realign my aluminium door and change the locking mechanism. The door now works perfectly. He was very tidy and courteous, and the price came in under what he quoted. I would highly recommend him.

    Thank you Simon for coming to the rescue! The garage door lock would not open so called him on Saturday morning and he came out that afternoon (in the 32 degree centrigrade heat!). After looking at the situation he went and bought what was needed to rectify it and sorted everything out. Well done Simon and thank you for being so patient with us and doing a great job and at a very reasonable price. We had used Simon before during the lockdown to fix a window lock and which he did a good job there too.

    Mr Gould came out on Coronation Sunday when we were apparently locked out of an elderly disabled relative's flat. He came immediately and was able to open the door and leave the locks working. Very impressive service and a good price!

My name is Simon and I formed Gould I Locks back in June 2011. I have over 3 years’ experience as a locksmith and am a member of the UK Locksmith Association. I’ve a wealth of experience in the trade and can offer advice on the following:

•             Gaining entry to lock outs

•             UPVC doors, windows, locks and mechanisms

•             The fitting of night latches, sash locks, mortice locks and deadlocks

•             The fixing of garage locks and cables

Most of my work is private residential and comes via word of mouth and/or recommendation. I will also entertain commercial enquiries.

I offer a 24/7 service; my prices are competitive, and I do not charge for call outs.
