  • Removal of old garden wall and rebuild.

    Our rear garden wall was extremely" wonky" and not very stable. it is very tall with an awkward curve in the middle. It had been up since the property was built (approx. 100 years) so was in need of replacing. Being also very high and long I was anxious about finding someone to carry out the works but, once again, Michael Green (Green Builders Sussex) came to my rescue. Having used Michael on many previous occasions, once again he came out to survey the job and provided a very reasonable quote. The finished wall looks fantastic, with Michael doing all of the bricklaying himself.

    Michael and Lee carried out a range of works at my properly recently and I was very impressed with their knowledge, skills and efficiency. They were very tidy and courteous and a pleasure to have around. As a single mother it was incredibly important to me to find a company that I felt would be straight-forward to deal with and respectful and they were definitely incredibly professional and I would recommend.

    Michael and Lee are great. We needed our bathroom renovated, which included plumbing, building, woodwork and electrics. They completed everything within the time specified, on budget and to a very high standard. They were always punctual and always tidy. When needed they worked constructively with us to find a solution. Above and beyond they are actually good to have around. Heartily recommend.

    Whilst Michael priced the job, it was his sons Lee and Carl that did the work. They were very thorough and did a great job. Cleaned up any mess and debris and were polite and efficient. Would definitely use these guys again.

    Hands down the best building company we've worked with! Green Builders delivered a complete transformation of our dilapidated garage extension with woodworm into a spectacular utility room with new roof, walls, ceiling, plastering, painting, flooring, tiling, light fittings, windows and doors. All with first class communication and impeccable building work throughout from Michael, Lee and Carl. Highly recommended and looking forward to working together on future projects.

Hi, my name is Michael and I am the Managing Director of Green Builders Sussex Ltd. My building career started as soon as I left school and for 10 years I worked alongside my father in his own building company, gaining valuable insight into all aspects of the building industry. Armed with the knowledge that gave me the confidence to take my career forward, I branched out as a sole trader for a number of years and then in 2013 set up Green Builders Sussex Ltd. One by one as my three boys left school, and once they went through college, like myself, they too joined their father and began their own journey in the building trade. I also hope that one day my 16yr old grandson will be joining us too!  

When needed, I also have a select group of gas & electrical contractors,(sub-contractors) some of which I have built up trusted relationships with for over 20 years. All hold the relevant up-to-date certification, such as NICIEC and Gas Safe. When working alongside us, you will always see the same high level of commitment and workmanship that you would expect from Green Builders. 

As a family-run company, we are committed to achieving 100% customer satisfaction in every project we undertake. All contracts are managed by myself, ensuring a one-to-one service from start to finish. Through our wealth of experience, our belief in the products we use, the team spirit and love for the work we do; we believe you will have complete confidence in us right from the very start. 

We hold a strong environmental ethos and to back this up, where possible, we endeavour to recycle all waste products produced. Our aim for 2020 is to recycle 90% of the waste we generate, and to help achieve this we are working alongside a reputable Brighton-based recycling company. All waste is removed by skip, or by our own tipping vehicle, to their recycling centre and then only biodegradable waste is then sent to landfill.

We liaise closely with building control and adhere to all current building regulations.
