• Delivering a dream garden (patio, walls, fencing, bank stabilising)

  What sets GBS apart from the competition is their great client communications, their ability to turn ideas into reality, knowing that design modifications are going to occur as the build develops. The whole GBS team are skilled reliable craftsmen who take a real pride in their work. Their attention to detail is superb and their little enhancements take a job from being good to exceptional. They will never cut corners to complete a job faster or cheaper. As a result, we couldn’t be more pleased with our wonderful new garden and would not hesitate to recommend GBS to others.

• Failed soakaway

  Unfortunately with groundworks you never quite know what you are going to come up against ! The initial assessment of flooding in the garden was a failed soakaway. But once they started digging it turned out that there was no soakaway, but an old clay pipe (from a previous house) which was cracked and from which non-contaminated water was flowing. This was dealt with via a French Drain draining into the new rainwater drainage pipe. GBS were brilliant in assessing and sorting out a solution. They left the site clean and tidy. What more could I ask ! Professional and courteous throughout.

• New fence panels, and a bit more

  The Dream Team strike again. Harry and colleague turned up early at very short notice, to remove a damaged fence panel so I could have an old couch removed and a new one brought in, all very time critical. Once this was done they came back and replaced various panels and rebuilt a damage piece of fencing that couldn't be removed due to a large hedge. It looked like a new panel once finished. All done quickly and professionally, nothing is too much trouble for this firm, great bunch of guys with a lovely attitude.

• New driveway that exceeded expectations

  GBS are a very professional company from seeking a quote to the completed project. Throughout the work GBS kept us updated about plans for the day and offered advice on what was and wasn't possible. Sonny was our main tradesman. He really was an "artist at work" who took pride in what he did and the look of our finished driveway. Our team were tidy, polite, and worked really hard each day. We would highly recommend GBS and would consider them for future exterior building and landscape projects.

• Brought a tired shabby patio and associated paths back to life

  So pleased to have found GBS, they really are the dream team. From the initial meeting with Paul, to the end job completed by Sunny and Harry they were exceptional. They did everything they said they would do, and were a pleasure to have around. Completed the job to timescale under very hot weather conditions, and have actually made the patio look better than it was when it was first done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, and have already run another job passed them.
