  • Damp-proofing to new wall, new conservatory installed.

    Ian was particularly careful to ensure the damp proofing and insulation of this new wall. This was complicated by the variation in levels of the existing floors.

    I was glad Ian spotted the inadequacy of the foundation under the existing boundary wall. He demolished thelwall, removed all waste, dug new foundation and constructed the wall. All work done tidily and Ian kept in touch about progress.

    I am more than happy to recommend I J Builders. They have transformed my courtyard garden. I had a wish list of what I would like and Ian made those wishes come true. The attention to detail was second to none. The work was of a very high standard. Ian was really helpful and went beyond the call of duty.

    Items on survey of house purchase needing urgent attention. Ian came out inspected the roof, located the problem, discussed the work involved and gave a quote, arranged within a day for scaffolding and started the work. He took photos and videos of the work done so I was informed of every step. All work completed within three days and tested. No water egress found job done. He was reliable and cleaned up after himself leaving no mess. Excellent standard or work, great communication, timekeeping, and stuck to his quote. Can’t recommend this builder highly enough.

    My housebuilder left my garage at risk of flooding as the side path (18" concrete) was higher than my garage floor. An additional acco drain was installed but a small risk remained. Ian's solution, the most practical and cost effective was to raise the garage floor with a screed which additionally yields wheel chair access to the house. The screed was laid in three stages to coincide with another refurbishment. The job was completed in timely fashion, to a high standard.
