  • Wooden flooring in c16 house

    It’s a pleasure to leave this review for Kevin. We have a mid 16th century farmhouse which hasn’t got a square or straight angle in it. Due to the construction of the building specialist knowledge was required to allow the structure to breath. From the very first appointment Kevin was reliable, knowledgeable and very polite. He advised us on the best methods to use and came back to us with a competitive price. Due to the angles and intricate cuts required the work took some time. The finished flooring and tailoring of the skirting boards were well worth the extra time. We heartily recommend

    Kevin recently laid Vinyl Oak Effect Boards to our Dining Area and once again did an excellent job for us. His professionalism and attention to detail show through in his workmanship. Already many friends who have visited our home have commented on the newly laid flooring. We have previously used Kevin to do similar work covering floors in our Hallway and Study and will definitely use Kevin again in the future.

    Kevin is a great worker and very professional at his work, which is not surprising as he has been in the trade many decades. The flooring he laid was superb. He initially turned up promptly to a survey appointment. He had samples of the type of flooring we requested. We were swiftly given a quote which was acceptable and a date to complete the work. This included taking off and replacing existing skirting board. All completed within the time scale. Great job thanks Kevin!

Kevin Tuffs Flooring was established in 1982, after serving a time-honoured apprenticeship at a very high-quality carpet and flooring shop in Stowmarket. 

We specialise in high-quality workmanship, to NICF Master Fitter standards.

In 1990 Kevin became Vice Champion of the Duralay Carpet Fitter of the Year UK, After competing against several hundred competitors from all over the UK.


We undertake all types of work, whether in a small bathroom or a 200-room hotel. Whatever the job, we provide the same caring service and all are installed to the highest standard.  After 47 years in the trade, we have built up vast knowledge and experience, which we hope to pass on to our customers.
