  All of the staff were polite and had great time keeping in fact due to bad weather on another job, they came to us a week early.. All work was carried out to a high Standard with reasonable pricing. They recommended a really good structural specialist who made and supplied the supporting brackets again reasonable pricing. Very tidy workers. We will be appointing them to carry out more works including a rear extension.

• Fitting of under-stair doors

  I wished to enclose the area under my stairs and had some oak doors custom made for the purpose. However, they still needed to be fitted, and their iregular shape made this less than straightforward. However, John, from M Small Builders rose to the challenge and achieved the required result admirably. My thanks for a first class job.

• Another roof repair

  Mick and his team attended another of our firms offices where water engress started effecting some internal ceilings. Mick and his team kindly found the problem and have attended to any repairs needed. As always the team are helpful and polite, and always turn up when they say they will. Thanks again.

  Mick and his team arrived when the weather was good enough to work on the roof safely. Photos were supplied to show the problems on the roof and were discussed with me before any work was completed. The team are always friendly and very tidy.

• Porch / Canopy over front door

  My requirement was for a covered area over my front door to offer protection from the weather before entering the house. Mr Small offered design solutions and advice which were practical and fitted in with the character of the house. He constructed and fitted gallows brackets to support the porch roof. He also sourced tiles for the roof of the canopy to match the tiles on the main roof. The work was completed in 2 days. I am particularly grateful for the advice and design work together with the attention to detail which has resulted in a very satisfactory result.

• Part 3: Stairs, floors, kitchen and garage

  After 4 months, M Small Builders have completed the tasks I set them. Most work was carried out by John, whose skill and eye for detail I trusted completely. A major part of the work was fitting the oak doors and assembling the oak staircase, which I am delighted with. Oak effect vinyl flooring was laid down in 3 rooms, and a wallpaper 'Tropical Beach' mural was hung in the kitchen, which will cheer me up in the winter months. I enjoyed a refurbishment so much that I was sorry to see them go, and they will be my first choice of builder for future projects. Just need to lay the carpets now.
