    This was a very positive experience. Nick's company is small enough that he oversees everything personally - he's always available - and big enough that he has a wide team of cabinet makers. We particularly appreciated that (a) the kitchen was built and fitted precisely to the originally agreed timescale, (b) there was enough flexibility that another wall cabinet was built and added during the fit, (c) the cabinet maker who had built the units fitted them himself, (d) Nick coordinated everything, including work surface ordering and fitting, and appliance supply, (e) high attention to detail.

    We were unable to find what we wanted in the stores. Having looked on the web we decided to drop into Nick's office/workshop in Charlwood. From our first meeting we felt confident that we had come to the right place. We sat down there and then with Nick who sketched up some designs. At this initial visit we were also given a guided tour of the workshop. There then followed visits to our house and a series of drawings for us to approve. We had bi-fold doors, large sideboard/display cabinet, 2 side tables, 2 TV/ HIFI cabinets and a mantle piece made. The results have exceeded our expectations.

Nick Geard Furniture is based in Charlwood Surrey.  The workshop doors opened for the first time in November 2009 and we haven't looked back since.  We are still based in Charlwood and now have two workshops fully equipped to make all sorts of furniture free standing or fitted, to any style.

I studied Furniture Design and Craftsmanship at Buckinghamshire University, graduating in 2007 with a first class honours degree.  Between university and starting my business I worked for two other successful furniture makers where I honed my skill and gained experience.

Every project begins with an informal meeting to discuss your requirements.  A design is then developed in accordance with your ideas before making begins.  During the making process visits to the workshop to see your new furniture take shape are encouraged.  Once completed your new furniture will be delivered and installed.
