  Paul and eventually the team were great throughout. From the outset Paul worked with us to attain our vision whilst keeping in budget. Kept in contact, open to any questions and kept us updated as the project progressed. Groundworkers, bricklayers and roofers were all did a fantastic job, well mannered and tidy, couldn’t ask for more. Now have the porch we were aiming for and couldn’t recommend Paul more.

  P Arter and Son are a friendly and extremely well organised building firm. Each stage of the building worked like clock - work, their builders and the various trades well co-ordinated to avoid any delays. They took time to explain the various stages of the build, and answered any questions and queries I had. Always polite and conscientious, they have built a fantastic work space for me. I highly recommend them.

• Small extension, new en suite and drainage works

  From the very outset Paul Arter was brilliant. He listens to all concerns and addresses everything to put your mind at rest. The price he quoted for the work is the price charged. Paul was away for the first few weeks of our build and Nicky took over as project manager. He did a brilliant job. Everything was done when he said it would be, materials arrived on time and the workforce were fantastic. Everyone was so polite and professional. On Pauls return he came straight round to check everything was to his satisfaction. We will definitely be using Arter again soon and recommend to everyone

  Highly recommended, not the cheapest but you certainly get what you pay for. Nothing was too much trouble and all the work was of a very high standard. I'm very pleased indeed.

  The whole team are excellent with a professional approach to works required and problem solving. Each member of the team is punctual, polite and respectful whilst being helpful at all times. Work areas are always left tidy. Would not use any other team as we feel reassured that our needs are understood and taken into consideration during any project undertaken.

• Major and complete refurbishment of large bungalow

  This was a large and complex project with many aspects to get right including new roof, knocking out several walls and making good, 3 new bathrooms, new terracing etc. It was essential to find the right builder. Paul inspired me with confidence immediately - his knowledge, experience, positive and reassuring approach made the difference for me. He didn’t let me down and I would work with Paul and his team again without hesitation. Paul is super organised and cares about getting the job done right and in good time. He kept me informed of progress at all times.
