  • Remove and replace with new, sleepers in troughs in our garden where the garden meets a waterway

    They did the original job some years ago and it needed sorting. When nature, wood and water are concerned nothing lasts forever. S&J came, renewed the timber, using scaffold poles they secured the new timbers in place and replace the the topsoil that had been in the troughs and made good other work. We took the quote on the basis there could be additional costs, we wouldn't know until they stripped it all away, fair enough. They needed fewer sleepers - we wouldn't have known BUT them being them, they told us, and dropped the cost. THAT'S why I always us this firm.

    Shane and his boys did a marvellous job, they were here everyday to completion leaving my home clean and tidy after everyday. They worked around us as we were still living at the property. The quality of work was 2nd to none. They did deviate from the original quotation which was great. They projected managed everything informing us when we needed to order bathrooms and kitchen keeping it organised with the project time scale. All in all they have been great, punctual and great customer service.

    Had the guys at S&j developments complete a single story extension with a large skylight and fit a new kitchen. Great communication throughout and was kept up to date with everything that was going on. They tidied up everyday and kept the mess to a minimum. Will be having them back in the future for other work.

  • Loft Conversion

    George, Alfie and Shane worked all through the summer from the end of July through to November to undergo a loft conversion on our bungalow. The loft conversion also consisted of installing a rear facing dormer which holds bifold doors (bifolds fitted by separate company). George has been great to work with, he is responsive and proactive and is always happy to answer any questions as and when is needed. We moved out for a good chunk of the build but found the lads to be respectful and consistent throughout the whole build. Very happy with the finished product and would highly recommend them!

S&J Developments are a family run business, we pride ourselves on the quality of our work and craftsmanship, we have a vast knowledge of the building industry and together we have in excess of 50 years experience which means we can carry out many contracts wholly in house without the need to subcontract. This in turn allows us to be very competitive when pricing.
