  • Resealing outflow pipes from sink and washing machine to toilet

    He checked all pipework around the toilet sink and the washing machine which flow into the toilet bowl. He concluded that resealing would probably solve the smells associated with washing machine use. The action of the washing water pushed the smells from the toilet outflow through the seal which was probable cracked with age. A small amount of sealant was applied to the area where the pipes joined the toilet bowl. The work took about 5 minutes but the inspection and visit lasted about 45 minutes
