  • Replaced crittle windows with double glazed casements

    Lisa and team carried out works, replacing 5 crittle windows on our period cottage. They had to navigate around original Victorian lime plaster, crumbling walls and original window cills. Attention to detail, courtesy, patience and excellent building work was unbeatable. I was anxious about the installation, but they stuck to schedule, timings, pricing and got expert advice from their team to double check that the windows would work and not cause damage through installation. I am so grateful particularly to Lisa for her patience and managing of schedule. It all ran very smoothly. Impressed.

    Cannot recommend the team at Truglaze Windows enough. From the initial consultation Lisa was very helpful and informative. We never felt pressured or rushed into making decisions like we had been with some of the larger companies. Very efficient service with windows and door fitted just 5 weeks after the initial quote. The surveyor took his time to ensure we were making the right choices and were definitely going to get what we wanted. The installers Danny and Robbie were very professional and the quality of workmanship is outstanding. Truglaze is a must when looking for home improvements.

    At every stage of the process, from my initial enquiry through to the completion of the installation, we were thoroughly impressed by the professionalism of everyone with whom we dealt at Truglaze. At no stage did we experience the "hard sell," or feel either anxiety, or stress. We felt in safe hands, and got the very firm impression that we as customers, mattered very much to everyone on the team. The pricing was clear and fair, without the charade of ringing a "manager" to give me a "special deal," and the fitters were skilled, dedicated, and took pride in their work. 10 /10 all round

    Truglaze fitted two stable doors and did a great job so I ordered solid oak front door and three Origin Bi-fold doors from them. I was unhappy with the finishing on all bi-folds and front door so asked them to rectify. There were six points and I chased for months to get it done. In they end they fixed three items and I had to pay someone else to fix the final three issues. Very unresponsive and take ages to respond to me if they respond at all

Hi, my name is Robert Gaunt. Thank you for dropping by.

About twelve years ago I started working for a very well known double glazing company; firstly as a window fitter then, not so long after, as a salesman.

After a couple of years I became increasingly frustrated at the way customers were being treated. I would always make a point of giving customers my personal phone number, but when my time was being taken up solely, by trying to resolve inexcusable issues, ranging from poor customer service to shoddy workmanship, I knew enough was enough; It was time to set up my own enterprise and run things the way I knew they should be run.

I started Truglaze in 2009 and ran it from my home. The speed with which the business took off still surprises me to this day and we were soon moving into our own premises.

My brother Dave joined me shortly afterwards, having already run his own successful company for seven years. He shares the same values as me and we often talk about the poor service customers receive from other unscrupulous organisations.

We both feel very uncomfortable that our industry treats so many people as cash cows, but the upside is that it has focused our attention on being the best we can possibly be.

Because we are a family business and not a large corporate, we have a relaxed approach that puts people’s needs first, and financial gain a firm second. It’s our belief that there is no shame in making money, because if you do something well and you treat people the way you would like to be treated yourself when doing business, success is never far away.

I personally get involved in every single job we do, regardless of size. It’s this attention to our customers’ needs that has enabled us to establish solid relationships with BMI Health Care, Cross Farm Infant School, Burpham
Primary School, and many others.

Whether it’s schools, residential homes, family homes, small flats or large commercial premises our attention to detail, sense of urgency and, above all, our keenness to provide great customer service is what drives our company.

We have no immediate plans for world domination in the double glazing industry, but we do have one very important mission – to provide the best, no, let me rephrase that, outstanding levels of customer service and craftsmanship which no other company in our industry can match.
