  Abacus assessed what was needed and did a great job at describing what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Geoff was excellent. He explained everything very well and was so nice to work with. I can honestly say that Abacus are the kind of company you always hope for - they understand what you want and they just get on and get it done. I can highly recommend.

  Upon first meeting Geoff, we knew we would go with him as we felt that he was honest and straightforward about what we could accomplish with our extension, and gave sound advice on how to best enhance the space we had. Geoff's quote included all aspects of the kitchen extension and roof upgrade. Geoff was always upfront about any adjustments if needed and was a friendly face to have around the house during the project. The work was completed to a high standard, and we have loved having our new, modern kitchen.

  My husband and I bought a house in January 2023 which needed copious amounts of TLC due to damaged walls from asbestos removal, electrical rewiring, gas pipe adjustments and age. Geoff gave us a reasonable price for whole house plastering as well as replacing a stud wall and reboarding the ceilings. His worked on every room of our 3-bed home and the work was of high quality showing the years of experience he has in the trade.

  When we first met Geoff for the quote we knew he would be the builder we would use. How pleased we were that our initial impression proved to be correct. He always turned up on the day and at the time he stated. He never stopped working for the entire time he was at the property. He never left to do other jobs, as he stated from the very beginning, he always gives his full attention to the job at hand until it was completed. Geoff always explained what he doing and why. The quality of his work and the people he employed was excellent. More than that he is a genuinely warm and honest person.

  I loved having Geoff in the house doing the work. It’s very important when you have young children you have someone you can trust doing the work. Geoff fitted right in with the family! I knew from the moment he came round to give a quote he would be perfect. Geoff gave me the quote based on the work, not on hours or days - which when I had an issue with the plumbing I was glad, Geoff did some long days for some of the work to get it finished! The finish is lovely and I’m so happy with everything he’s done. He is very knowledgeable and I knew my kitchen was in safe hands!
