• New roof and beams

  We had a whole new roof put on, and new beams once it had been discovered that the existing ones were rotten. We had the team’s work checked by a surveyor and he was happy with it, and it seems to have done the job. Harry was good at coming back to deal with snagging issues. We had to nag a bit to get gutters etc tidied up at the end, and it would have been easier if they had been able to replace a broken chimney pot (which I think they now do, but didn’t at the time, meaning we had to get someone else involved).

• Repairs to roof

  Harry and his team are courteous and work hard. However, unfortunately a couple of days after work started the roof was left inadequately protected and heavy rainfall resulted in a major leak through the ceiling light into the lounge. Further leaks have occurred since into the loft and through the ceiling of a downstairs bedroom. Harry has tried to rectify the leaks as quickly as possible even on the weekends but it has been a stressful experience. Harry has adjusted the final balance due as compensation for damage to the inside of the property and because of the stress caused.

  I don't write this with any degree of satisfaction but Harry has let us down badly on a job. He started well and then just disappeared on us while we still have water coming into the property. He said has was going to come back but after numerous calls he has just left us with a problem without any real explanation as to why. He also offered us a warranty which I have no idea how to action as he just won't return a call. Seems a shame.
