  Explained to me what he will be doing as the new doors were thinner he explained what he would have to add on cleaned the work area before he left each day and at finnish also removed old doors from site when completed

• Modernising banister and replacing bathroom flooring

  Andy made a great job of changing our 70's style banister into a more modern one with spindles, including knocking down a half height stud wall to give us more spindles upstairs. He also laid a new laminate floor in our bathroom. We are delighted with the end result of both jobs. He was kind and friendly and always arrived at the time that he said he would. He tidied up at the end of each day and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Andy to others.

• Over Stairs Cupboard

  We were short of storage space and so we asked Andy, ARG Carpentry if he could build an over stairs cupboard for us and we are thrilled with the result! Andy gave us advice on the installation which we very much appreciated as we only really had a rough idea and wasn’t sure if it was feasible. Andy is very resourceful and skilful and came up with a design which we love and his craftsmanship is high quality and precise. On top of these things Andy is very professional, polite, friendly, punctual, reliable, well priced and tidy. We thoroughly recommend Andy.

• Bay windows - carpentry

  Having had old and damaged Victorian sash windows replaced, Andy came to rebuild all of the surrounding woodwork and architrave that once would have housed the sash weights. He also incorporated a window seat. The work required a lot of thought and patience to achieve the desired outcome. He was very helpful in discussing ideas and outcomes, whilst carrying out the work professionally and with good workmanship. First Class work, a pleasure to have had him in our house
