  • Reflash chimney stack, replace a broken tile and check for leaks around chimney stack

    Remove the flashing and replace the lead from next to the chimney stack. Replace a broken tile and check for leaks. £780 (£650+VAT) including labour and materials (lead, new lay board if required, tiles etc). On the day the original flashing and lay board were fine so they didn't replace. A couple of tiles were replaced. Total on site time about 1 hour. We expected the final invoice to reflect the materials not used and reduced labour. But when we spoke to the company they got aggressive and threatened to increase the bill by £100. Best to avoid. A shame, as the rest of the service was good.
