  Mark and his team helped us with a number of the more technical jobs renovating an old house. Not only was the work carried out to our satisfaction, most of the work of which was subject to building control, so we have verification that it was carried out correctly. Where unforseen problems were encountered (inevitable given the nature of the property) Mark was very helpful in finding solutions. In addition, he was generous with his advice for the work we are carrying out ourselves. Thanks, Mark!

• Locate the source of water coming through the ceiling

  Mark and the guys were brilliant! He came and found out where the water was coming from and Jay the plumber was there the same day. He was really busy but fixed it quickly, so tidy you'd never know he was there. Mark then got Chris to mend the ceiling and re-artex it and he was also quick, tidy and professional. Mark kept me informed on when they'd be arriving and how long it would take. I was so grateful as this was my elderly Mum's ceiling and I felt totally confident that I could leave them to get it sorted for her. All round brilliant in my opinion.

  Mark impressed us from the outset with his attention to detail, honesty about pricing and what we needed to do on a budget, as well as the fact that he wouldn't overpromise from the start. The job was done while we were in another city so even harder but Mark constantly kept us updated. He was always prompt in his response and honest about payment required for tradesmen work. He has always followed up on any issues since moving in. Highly recommended as a detail oriented, honest and hardworking builder with a great team. Plus a sense of humour which always helps on big projects.

• Further damp-proofing and renovations to Victorian property

  Being really happy with their original work, we asked Mark and team to come back and damp-proof and re-plaster the dining room and remaining corridor wall, as well as some tweaks and repairs to the first job. We inevitably encountered a few minor snags during such a big project but Mark was always keen to keep things on schedule and up to his high standard of work. The whole downstairs now looks amazing. Time to decorate!
