  • Refurbing toilets and room

    Danny and John are always a pleasure to have on site. We have been using them for many years at St. Laurence Church which requires specialised knowledge due to the church being a Historical Grade 1 A* listed building. They are currently starting refurbishing works on the Pastoral Centre which will be carried out on and off over a few months. The are always very pleasant to people they meet on site and always go the extra mile. Highly recommend them!!

    John and Dan worked hard to make my recent property purchase into my new home. The essential roofing and brickwork repairs were carried out to a very high standard as were the interior decorating and other internal renovations. Nothing was too much trouble and they accommodated my increasingly long list of extra jobs with willingness and patience. They are thoroughly reliable and honest. I have used them for work on my previous home, have recommended them to neighbours and would use them again without hesitation for any future work.

    We had a supporting wall removed by John and Dan. The price they quoted was the price we paid. They were really friendly and can't fault their work. They informed us when they would be starting and what they would be doing each day. They were punctual and tidied up each day before leaving. They repaired the plaster on the wall where the steel had gone into. Great job. We would deffo use again. Thanks.

  • Removal of internal wall and external door

    The team did a great job removing the internal wall, removing the external door and bricking up the void left by the door. They also took the time to properly blend the exterior brickwork helping to remedy pre existing issues to leave a wall that was better than before. They were punctual, professional, polite and they had a penchant for ensuring a clean work area. At the end of the job they left everything clean, tidy and removed all waste. Very happy with their work and happy to recommend them to anyone.

Cambro Building and Roofing - Domestic and Commercial Builders

We are brothers who have worked within the Construction industry all our working life. Between us we have nearly 70 years experience working on commercial and domestic projects.

Cambro was established in 2003 initially in Kings Norton, Birmingham before relocating to Shirley, Solihull, West Midlands.

As a family business we take pride in our work, being reliable and trustworthy. This has resulted in Cambro retaining many clients and receiving recommendations for most of our work. Just a few examples of this with regard Commercial Work are clients below including:

  • Willows Veterinary Centre, Shirley , Solihull - a state of the art veterinary practice. The project was refurbishments and the conversion of two large apartments to office space. Further works are scheduled. (See photo's)
  • St Laurence Church, Northfield, Birmingham - one of four remaining medieval Churches based in Birmingham. The earliest part dates back to the 12th -15th Centuries. This was specialist work including Lime Plastering, rebuilding walls, and roofing. The church have a long standing relationship with Cambro and we continue to assist with maintenance of the church as instructed. (See photo's)
  • Acocks Green Bowl - Westley Road, Acocks Green, Birmingham - Drainage installation, building maintenance and repairs, including the offices located in Sutton Coldfield.
  • Jervoise School, Weoley Castle, Birmingham - this project was sub-contracted to us and included refurbishments, removal of interior walls, installation of RSJ's, Installation of wheelchair and disabled access included ramps and widening of doors.
