• Vast improvements to an existing loft conversion

  Mr Caws and his team stepped in when we were let down by other tradesmen. We had to wait a few months but their busyness is a sign of their professionalism and expertise. The work consisted of improvements to an existing loft conversion, not compliant with Building Regulations. Mr Caws worked closely with the Structural Engineer and Buildings Inspector, the latter signing off the work with no issues. A wall had to be moved for a new staircase. Two RSJs had to be installed in order to make safe the roof structure. New radiators were installed. Decorating completed to a high standard.

• Roof repair

  Had work carried out removing mortar from the cavity around my house, good job done. Ridge tile blow off with high winds. Again Ryan was helpful and came the same day to fix it. I would highly recommend the company.

• Replacement of kitchen steps

  We were very happy with some internal alterations Caws Carpentry did for us some 15 years ago. They proved to be a competent and reliable building company with a significant range of building trades and skills at their disposal. We were also encouraged by their willingness to give us lots of advice about our project that other builders had not offered. It was for this reason we invited them to replace our dangerous kitchen steps. The new safer steps are now in place and fitted with a brushed stainless steel balustrade. Caws Carpentry have once again exceeded our expectations.

• Partial kitchen refit

  Company quoted and then arrived at earliest opportunity to do work. Prompt and very efficient on the day. Had a good range of skills available to enable them take on all aspects of the refit and deal with one or two minor issues that arose (ie old gas pipe was corroded and fitting was wrong type so they replaced a length of pipe and supplied new gas fitting). Disposed of all materials (old cooker unit and granite worktops), fitted new flatpack units and wooden worktop with gas hob. Took time to oil the worktop too. Very helpful.
