  • Replacing bathroom floor

    Craig and Paul quoted for replacing the bathroom floor based on what I described to them. It vwas due to a leak and it turned out to be worse than expected, which they had highlighted may be the case, when they started work. However any deviation from their original price was discussed and agreed prior to starting any of the work. They were very friendly, easy to deal with and they kept the place really clean whilst they worked and when they left at the end of the day. The job was to a high standard and I would use them again.

    Generally not a good experience. From initially being told the work would take 6-8 weeks back in Sept 23, works finally completed in Jan 24. Mistakes included having to relay new floor because of bad plumbing, electrical work not as agreed, building inspector info not supplied in timely manor (could go on) Lack of communication once original deadline passed. We thought an empty house would make it easier for Craig and Paul so in-laws moved in with us, this lead to only attended when other jobs allowed. Overall final work is good but the journey was tortuous so struggle to recommend Cheshire D&B.

    Highly recommend Cheshire Design and Build - they carried out the works to a high quality standard - following the brief and delivering in time and to budget. We added complexities to the build as we had tenants living in the property , but they went out of the way to ensure minimal disruption - keeping the place clean and tidy after each day. Thanks to Craig and team!
