• Stone Wall Rebuild - Never Happened!

  Contacted CMJ on 02 Aug 2023 for a quote to have our stone wall rebuilt. He visited, measured up and quoted by text with little detail other than price. We agreed and asked for a start date. Told 3-4 weeks, but it never happened. Lots of excuses until end of Nov when more of our wall fell down. He agreed to visit and assess but suddenly asked for the dimensions again, then said he couldn't do it unless we paid for materials! We responded but he has not answered any texts since. Totally unprofessional behaviour after we were patient and polite throughout. 5 months totally wasted!

  Chris and Steve have been working for us through Summer and into Winter. They’ve been courteous throughout every interaction and carried out works to great. From the very start they were clear about working hours, breaks and rates. We found them to be extremely reliable, very good listeners and can’t wait to have them back in a few weeks time to fit a window in a brick wall. Would recommend throughout.

• Repairing stone walls around a garden

  Chris and his team did a great job. They got on with things, were respectful of my home, and actually went above and beyond patching up bits on my neighbours side and pulling out various brambles etc. My neighbour will also be using them before long, for parts of her garden walls - they really did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend them.

  Couldn’t recommend Chris enough. We were badly let down by another builder who’d started the job, contacted Chris via here and he said he could come round to quote that day, he was polite and friendly. Luckily for us he’d had a cancellation and came round 2 days later to do the job, finished it in the time he quoted, clean, tidy, respectful to the neighbours due to the dust and the workmanship was great, wish we’d have found him earlier! Thanks
