    The surveyor was commissioned to complete an independent survey on a house I am purchasing. He worked timely and effectively in visiting the property and completing the report, providing sufficient detail and explanations. His report included enough information without making it too overwhelming and it was written clearly and in accessible language. I am happy to have chosen this company for their services.

    The Representative had been 'Sundeep', booked in the works and the surveyor turned up as agreed. There were ongoing details that had been actions and a final report to be issued to the insurers. Good guy, and worked well with the client team.

  • Calculations for chimney stack support

    Sundeep did some structural calculations for a steel beam for us a few years ago and gave us some good advice at the time. Recently we needed some calculations done to support a building control application to remove a chimney breast and leave the chimney stack supported. Sundeep has been very helpful in resolving the challenges around the building control application and doing the calculations quickly.

    This was a disappointing experience for a few reasons. The documents originally submitted by Sundeep included pages for items (e.G. Basement) that were not for my project. The council's building control department picked up on this as they thought they were receiving an application for basement works too. The followup support was poor. Calls/emails were unanswered when an issue popped up. The drawings themselves have also proved to be inaccurate once construction started. The existing house was not accurately depreciated. I had to pay a second Engineer to do corrections.

    I contacted Sundeep Gupta of DCE Globa to find out if I needed a steel beam for a kitchen wall that I wanted to demolish and he came and inspected the whole house and confirmed that particular wall doesn’t need a steel beam as it’s not a wall bearing and given me the go ahead to do so which we did. Few months later after the work had been completed we noticed that the upstairs floor was bowing dramatically so we ended up getting another surveyor which was far more reliable and confirmed that it does need support which resulted an additional £7K to put things right.
