• Dyson service and repair

  Called them for a Dyson roller head repair and clean. They disappeared or over a month. Did not fix the problem I called them for, charged me 170£. Used non original parts (after I explicitly asked them if they were going to use original Dyson parts). Posted Dyson back to the wrong address. Worst company I had to deal with in a while.

  The engineer arrived and said machine needed new part, which he ordered and we paid for. The next 3 repair visits were cancelled at very short notice. After the third cancellation a refund for most of the callout and all of the new part was agreed with the company. That was three weeks ago. We are still waiting for the refund. In the meantime the machine was repaired by British Gas, within one hour of arriving and no new part was needed

• Fridge repair

  Called Domestix to look at a fridge in my campervan. The engineer visited, put his hand on the compressor and told me that it needed replacing. That was the only test that he did. That visit cost £92. The engineer later telephoned me with a £400+ estimate to replace the compressor. I opted to buy a new fridge for £500. I plugged in the new fridge and it had the same fault as the broken fridge. I did a quick search and discovered that that problem was common and related to not enough power reaching the fridge. Everything is now working ok but I'm £600 out of pocket. Avoid this company.

  Their engineer told me my fridge was a write off from a picture, turns out it was just the fan, they charged me £30 to secure the appointment and was a fight to get that refunded when I tried to cancel the next day
