  • Construction of porch

    Poor experience. Delays right from the start, work started 2 months after paying deposit. The original estimate was 2 weeks for completion but turned into 5 weeks. There were days that the builder just wouldn't show up and on one instance we were promised he would be back the next day only for the next time we saw any builders to be 11 days later. Called 5 times and only received an answer after 6 days. Etheridge were not the cheapest quote either. Small works not finished but will get someone else. The work was decent and the builders were nice but otherwise it was a terrible experience.

    On the whole the work was completed well. The men were helpful and very tidy. What has been less satisfactory is the obtaining of planning regulation documents. The work was completed nearly a year ago, and I can still get no response from Stephen as to when these will appear. It seems to me that this company is happy to take your money but is unable to fulfil its contracts.

    This is a very good firm. In 2021 they fitted 2 windows and also fixed roof line fascias. All done to a high standard. Then this year (2024) they have replaced some old french windows with new patio sliding doors. Also a couple of joinery jobs. Everything was done extremely efficiently by two excellent workmen. No complaints. Will definitely use Etheridge Windows again.

    Absolutely fantastic experience. We have not done this before and I wasn't sure what to expect but the fitters were skilled, friendly and polite. High quality workmanship and they hoovered up after themselves too. We will be back for more home improvements for sure. Service was great too, always on the end of the phone and from ordering to fitting was no time at all.
