  • Turning off a gas fire (isolating) for elderly parents

    What a hero Deano was today! I needed and urgent appointment as my parents who both Dementia had left Gas fire on and the carers had reported the smell. I was quite distressed as didn’t know who to turn to but didn’t want to turn everything off and leave them with no heating or their oven which they can operate fine. Deano advised all engineers were out but he offered to take a quick look himself for us. He was there in ten minutes and managed to isolate the unit and turn it off completely. He refused to take any payment as was only there a few mins. My parents loved him too. Thanks so much.
