• Stunning Driveway

  This is the second job that FJB have done for me. The first one, was a lovely curved gravel path with Granit sets. More recently Jessie and Joe have erected a stunning front driveway. On both occasions they totally understood what I wanted and bought my vision to life. During the construction Jessie went through each detail with me. Their workmanship is top quality. There are only two words that describe FJB 'First Class'

  They arrived on time to meet us and explained all options. Didn’t feel rushed and took the time show us samples and measure up. We received the official quote that day. We got quotes from other companies and although FJBs was higher we had such a positive experience so far we chose them to carry out the works. They did not disappoint. Always on time, efficient, hard working, explained each step, consulted us throughout. The work was carried out to a very high standard and the finished driveway looks superb. We wouldn't hesitate to use FJB again and will happily recommend them to others.

• Widening of driveway

  From the very beginning the FJB Groundworks were prompt, professional and polite. At the initial site meeting everything was explained to me in detail with a timescale and a quote given. I was kept informed of progress each day and everything was completed to a very high standard. The finished work looks even better than I had imagined. I was even supplied with a set of photographs from start to finish. I would not hesitate to use FJB Groundworks again and I will be recommending them to friends and neighbours.

  Fred kept me fully informed of progress with photos even though I was abroad when the work was done. He was flexible, reliable and competitively priced. It looks good and am sure that it will continue to do so for many years. Strongly recommend his company.

• Replace a 43 year old tarmac drive and the front of the property with tarmac.

  Excellent first class professional job. We contacted Fred for a quote and he came promptly to fully assess the job before giving us a verbal quote followed by a detailed written estimate. All work was done by Fred and his son Jessie. Both were always punctual, friendly, helpful, and kept us informed at all times. We are 100% happy with the result and the job was completed for the estimated price. We would highly recommend them anytime.

• Renew tarmac drive

  They came highly recommended by a friend. Fred Ball came, gave us an estimate, and with his son, arrived on the appointed day and completed the job in 3 days. Both were friendly, polite and extremely tidy workers with everything carried out to a very high standard. The estimate given was adhered to, despite encountering several hidden problems, which were solved professionally and we, as customers, were kept fully informed throughout as to how they were going to approach the problems. We highly recommend them as a real pleasure to do business with, something which is a rare thing these days.
