  • Laminate floor, skirting board, architrave & door fitting

    We had GD Carpentry lay laminate flooring, put on new skirting board & architrave and fit a new door in the living room. So pleased with the work done and the difference it has made to the room. We have lots more work to do in the house and will be asking GD Carpentry back again. Will be recommending to family.

    I found Scott for a friend. She was absolutely delighted. He visited her within a day or so. Checked the job. Went back the next day with all the fittings and job was completed without mess or fuss, at a fair price. Scott was described as 'That Lovely Carpenter' by my friend. He comes highly recommended.

    Took the unit away as requested. My only complaint is that the skirting board was repaired with two pieces, and doesn't look great. Scott did offer to refit it if I can get a piece of skirting of the right size.

    Scott was polite and punctual. For the most part I am happy with how the skirting boards were scribed and fitted. However, I made clear both in advance of the job and on the day that my plasterers advised that the new skirting must be fitted with adhesive, not fixings (to avoid compromising the new damp proof membrane). Scott avoided fixings for the most of the new wall, but there was one section where he used two nails, which I was only made aware of after the job was finished. I did supply grab adhesive, but Scott did not use in favour of nails plus silicone sealant.

    Scott was very polite , asked if we minded if he stayed late to get the job done , grafted for 12 hours and he even cleaned and vacuumed up after him , our stairs look absolutely great ,totally opened up that area

With 17 years' experience and many happy and returning customers, you can be sure of being well looked after. My aim is to provide a stress-free project, delivered in a manner that I am confident will exceed your expectations. I carry out all work myself and will be your single point of contact. My customers are accustomed to the outstanding quality of my projects, by sourcing quality materials with experienced craftsmanship I create truly bespoke masterpieces lasting my customers many years.
