  • Plastering repairs to Hallway and Stairwell

    Our son needed some repairs at his house. Ian did all the original plastering 5 years ago as part of the renovation work, which was excellent. Since then, some cracks appeared in some walls in the stairwell, due to movement. Ian arrived on time and immediately got to work to resolve the problem. With his 40 years of experience, he knew exactly what was required and fixed mesh to the exposed area of one of the walls. Ian worked quickly with great skill and accuracy. The finished walls looked great. Ian cleaned up after he had completed the work. He did an excellent job and I can recommend him.

    Ian arrived promptly. Did the job despite a problem with the a gas fitment. We got an emergency fix to the gas pipe from a gas specialist, and Ian was able to finish the job in the morning with minimal delay. Excellent work completed on time. We would be happy to use again if needed.

    Ian's preparation of the room was superb. He spent a long time getting all the old plaster off and preparing the corners and sealing cracks and damaged areas. I have not known anyone take so much care and attention to the preparation of the walls and ceilings before applying the plaster. He was also very clean and tidy, ensuring there were dust sheets on the floor and carpets but also when finished he took all the dust sheets outside to ensure no dust was left in the air. I have not known another tradesman to be so clean and tidy, leaving nothing more for me to attend to. He was the best.

    Boarding out and plastering of new conservatory roof, this was done over a couple of days, all mess cleaned up and left tidy. Very happy with work done. Please note that I am unable to give cost for the work as it was carried out as a subcontract from another company. We would be happy to have Ian back to do work directly for us.
