    James was recommended by my partner and I’m so glad I went with him. I’m really pleased with how the rooms turned out - they feel polished and uplifted. James has so much knowledge on period properties/features, I got to know my home better! He rectified the finish of features to a higher standard. James also identified deeper wood rot in one of my sash windows and seamlessly restored it to prevent further water damage. From quoting, discussing painting/decorating details and finishing the job, James is thorough and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend and will definitely have him back.

    On first meeting James we were extremely impressed by his attitude and knowledge of his subject therefore when we required redecorating, we contacted none other than James. He proved us right in our judgement of him but surpassed our expectations with his punctuality, work ethic, advice, extraordinary craftsmanship, conscientiousness and attention to detail. The décor in our living room and hallway is perfection, in good taste, and uplifts our environment daily. We cannot speak highly enough of James’s skills and personality and we look forward to employing him for the next stage.

    We had to wait several months as James was fully booked. When he arrived as scheduled he commenced by completely stripping the walls back to the original plaster and prepared the woodwork. His preperation was extraordinary, priming, undercoating and finally glossing to the highest standard. His papering was as precise, rubbing down the walls, filling any cracks, rubbing down again until they were completely flat. His painting and wallpaper hanging was superb. A great job and in budget with no hidden extras. Thoroughly recommended and booked for another room in February.

Hi I'm James from JSM Renovations Ltd.


I'm an enthusiastic and hardworking professional decorator with over 25 years’ experience working in all aspects of the decorating field.


I have previously worked in a specialist environment including working for the Queen of England at Windsor Castle and the Sultan of Oman in Central London.


As well as working commercially on new builds, and domestically on period homes.


Today we have set up our business to provide a renovation service which includes all aspects of decoration, carpentry, and restoration, particularly in period property.


We are honest, reliable and take on all aspects of decorating including, interior, exterior, paperhanging, sash window repair. As well as carpentry.
