    I would highly recommend JW Construction. From estimate through to completion communication was clear and forthcoming. Quote was competitive and the estimate was the end price. The work was carried out quickly, neatly, stress free and to the highest standard. All tradesmen and work was scheduled, overseen and finished to perfection. JW Construction's attention to detail and professionalism was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble. It was a pleasure to have Jason in our home and to carry out this work. Will definitely use for any future projects.

    We used Jason and the team a few years ago to do an extension on our bungalow. The team were fantastic and finished the job to an extremely high standard, on time and on budget. Jason went the extra mile to think about pieces of the puzzle that would help the finished result, as well as liasing with building control and other trades. We’re now halfway through a large extension on our current house and have of course used Jason again. We are removing the roof and adding a second story. We’re delighted so far and would absolutely recommend.

    Our build is now a year old and looks great! We found Jason to be reliable and methodical in his work. Jason and his team were all very personable and knowledgeable in their respective fields. We felt confident that all work was carried out properly and any snags were immediately rectified. Most importantly, they maintained good relations with our neighbours, which we really appreciated.

Company info

My Name is Jason Whiting trading as J W Construction & Property Maintenance and I have been in the building industry since 1987.


I started out working for my father's roofing company and then went on to qualify as a bricklayer. I also spent a few years teaching at two local colleges, working with young apprentices and teaching them bricklaying.


During this time I qualified as a teacher and also an assessor. Therefore I now have over 30 years' experience in the building sector, covering many different areas within the building industry. We can cover all areas of building which includes the following:

  • Summer houses

I can offer a FREE estimate for any works and will always reply to customers with any concerns they may have. We are a small company which allows us to build a good rapport with customers. We are always punctual and our sites are always clean and tidy at all times.


Outside of work I regularly play at Chestfield Golf Club which I have been a member for 7 years.
