• Avoid - we were out of £630.

  Dave came round and made £100 emergency repairs on our leaking Velux windows. He asked for a further £630 upfront for the Velux window flashing kits, which we paid him. Over months and months of numerous messages and phone calls, he made many excuses like divorce, funerals, backlogs of materials and missed deliveries. Then he just ignored us. Over a year later and he has never come back to do the work or refunded us the money we paid him in good faith. Avoid!

  Leighs Roofing are a very courteous , helpful group of workers. Ready with advice but not pushy. Although job took longer than anticipated ,( due to weather conditions,) we were kept informed all along as to when they would be at our home. The site has been left clean and tidy.

  From start to finish we were kept updated of when coming to quote, start date and even when on the way! We accepted the quote and work completed to our satisfaction and found out we had rotten wood which had to be replaced which we had photos of from them plus I went and checked myself too. Definitely wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Leigh’s roofing. For workmanship, quality, tidying up, friendliness. Value. Timekeeping. Nice family to deal with.

  Ridge tiles fitted without cleaning roof tiles and ridge underfelt glue strip initially not removed. Verge tiles set badly with gaps between them and the roof tiles. Problems at the apex. Roof leaks worse than before. They ignored a surveyor's and other professionals' findings on their work. They said they had done things but had not. They agreed to do other work but did not. Remedial work by them did little to solve the issues that they created and was done "as a good will gesture"; their 10 year warranty appears valueless. There is much more. A company to avoid.

  We had a roof leak suspected to be caused by poor workmanship when our neighbours dormer was constucted. Dave attended quickly and provided a reasonable quote to install new lead work and other repairs which was suspected to be causing the leak. Dave and his sons were very reliable and easy to communicate with; they always had time to explain what was needed to be done and took many photos of the completed work. The materials and work look to have been done to a good standard but if I am critical could have been a bit neater in areas. Fingers crossed it's solved the leak.
