  • Cistern and kitchen tap fix

    Matt did a good job installing a new kitchen tap. However, he did not fix the issue with the cistern. He replaced a part of the cistern flush but it was still making noise. He did not return to check and stopped responding to my messages. I asked another plumber to check and he said that I just needed to replace the flush washer (it was eroded and breaking into pieces) and that Matt had charged for unnecessary work. I replaced the washer and the noise stopped.

    The initial phone call was courteous and helpful. Problem was 2 old toilets, one didnt flush, one had small leak from wing nut. The plumber, pleasant and knowledgeable, arrived 10 mins early, advised wingnut was too rusty so unscrewig might damage the ceramics. We decided not to go ahead with that, and consider a replacement. He worked quickly and efficiently on replacing syphon on other toilet and vacuumed afterwards. He was kind enough to advise us on a couple of other plumbing jobs, which I will be very happy to ask NBS to do for us in the near future. Very pleased, thank you NBS

Making the Old Stuff Work! We all love New Shiny Things but it’s important not to forget the Old Stuff, sometimes they just need a bit of TLC (they have feelings too). So, if that toilet keeps flushing, that tap keeps dripping or those pipes keep banging we will do our upmost to give them a bit of TLC and get them working again.
