    Following survey on the house that I am selling, some work was picked up that needed doing prior to the sale completion. Within 2 weeks, the design engineer had been in, calculations done and work had been done - including approved by Building Regs! John Nickson is so efficient, friendly and helpful, it is unbelievable. Would I ask him to do work again? Absolutely any time - well recommended.

  • Removal of internal load bearing wall and fitting of RSJ

    John did a very good job in removing the wall and fitting the RSJ. This was passed without a problem by the Building Inspector. He arrived on the day and time as promised. He was polite and helpful, willing to discuss and explain the work. His price was also very reasonable. He stitch drilled the wall to remove it. This was a great relief as others had said they would use a Stihl saw which would have created huge amounts of dust. My only very slight complaint would be that he did not bring enough dust sheets. I would definetly recomend him and have no hesitation in using him again.

    This company responded to our job, gave us a time to view. They never turned up, we had to message to find out to busy and can't do job. Totally bad customer service, avoid!

    Absolutely first class. We had damp in 2 bedrooms and had no idea of the causes, John and Brendan found the various problems on the roof, in the lead flashings and on the external walls. They sorted them all out straightaway, provided photo evidence of what needed to be done and what was done and then provided us with written guarantees for the work. They were just great.

  • Replacement of steel lintel above the lounge window

    John and his work colleague arrived at the specified time and quickly got on with the task of replacing the corroded lintel above my 8 foot wide lounge window. The lintel supports the brickwork above the window so they inserted props to take the load whilst the old lintel was removed. They cleaned off the bricks above the lintel so that they could be reused making the repair blend in with the rest of the brickwork. When finished they thoroughly cleaned the area below the window and removed all debris. I have no hesitation in recommending John and his business.
