  James supplied and installed a new, oak, stair banister, spindles and newel posts for us. His correspondence with us from beginning to end was prompt, clear and helpful. The work was undertaken on date and diligently. You could tell from the approach taken that James had a pride in the work he was doing and this certainly shows in the final product. And for us, James helped us 'out of a hole', with another contractor letting us down. We were beginning to lose faith in the building trade, James regressed that.

  James Odell was very professional throughout. Polite and informative of what was and needed to be done. Each day he finished he completely removed all rubbish and hoovered the whole work area leaving it spotless. We were so impressed we have commisioned further work and would recommend his service to anyone.

  I'd wanted some internal doors fitted and a small gate fitted (in an awkward position!). James arrived on time and quietly got on with the work. The doors were fitted to perfection without any hassle or mess! The Gate was always going to be a bit of a headache!!.... But after a chat and actually using a spare sleeper I had we came up with a plan we both agreed with. James completed the job which looked great and worked beautifully (and it saved me money by using my spare sleeper!) perfect. Thanks James. Highly recommended.

• Outdoor decking balustrade
