• Single storey extension

  We used ORW Carpentry for a first floor extension on our old Freshford cottage. Ollie and his team were wonderful to work with, there was never any issues and if any hiccups arose they dealt with them swiftly and proposed a solution which more often than not was better than the original plan. We live down an awkward track that has no vehicular access, which meant great difficulty when it came to getting materials on site. The guys never once grumbled and got on with the job quietly and efficiently. I would never hesitate to recommend Ollie and his team to anyone.

• Large house build

  We designed and built a 450sqm passivhaus-standard house in Somerset, with Ollie as our appointed contractor for the wood framed building throughout, for first and second fix. They were a great team of carpenters and we even decided to use them for another project - building a one-bedroomed cabin and adjoining barn on the land. I can highly recommend Ollie as trustworthy, knowledgeable and extremely capable. Nothing was too much trouble and on such a large project Ollie's flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing circumstances was invaluable.

• Alterations to upstairs bedroom wall layout and ceilings.

  Scope of the work was as follows: Demolish and remove existing stud walls and doors Build new stud walls. Include fitting electrical conduit and switch boxes. Overboard existing artex ceiling. Ollie and his team arrived on the agreed day and the work was completed ahead of schedule and fully met my expectations in terms of quality. (Also pleased to report that the plasterer reported the finished stud wall work presented no problems for his work) Just for reference I was previously a Chartered Builder with MCIOB status so I believe I have reasonable ability to judge work standards.
