  Martin was a great help in removing stair and landing carpets, and then refitting after some building works. he is a very nice chap, tidy, did a great job, and we were especially pleased because ours was a small but fiddly task. we will definitely use Petersfield Family Carpets again.

  From the start of our project, the first visit with the carpet samples and the excellent advice we were given the company has been so very helpful throughout. At every stage we were kept well informed of the progress and situation with the carpets. The company went out of their way to accommodate our specific requirements with the fitting. The carpet fitters were excellent all round and went above and beyond to ensure our job was completed in a very timely manner. Excellent company all round. Thank you.

• Replacement of a section of carpet due to staining.

  We wanted to replace a section of our carpet that had been badly stained due to a leak from the chimney breast. Martin provided balanced advice on the feasibility of replacing only a section of the carpet, using leftovers retained from the original installation. Martin warned that the finished result might not be perfect, but in the event, it turned out to be as close to perfect as could be reasonably expected. We are absolutely delighted with the work of a courteous, efficient and skilled craftsman! We unreservedly recommend Martin without hesitation.

  Martin was very helpful and arranged for the work to be done promptly and left the flooring looking exactly as it did before. We didn't feel confident about trying to take it up ourselves. So finding someone prepared to do a fairly small job to a high standard, wasn't easy.

  Martin Herdman provided an excellent service. Although he was held up he informed of the delay. The fitting was undertaken with no problem and we are now left with a much improved carpet having the new underlay. The carpet looks absolutely fine. We were very pleased with both the work undertaken as well as Martin’s approach, which was friendly and helpful.
